Connecting students and artists. Camp Tannery Arts is located at the Tannery Arts Center on the banks of the San Lorenzo River in Santa Cruz, California. Small classes of students work together with experienced artists, to explore a wide variety of hands-on art disciplines that make this spot the creative hub for the Santa Cruz area. Students take away a deeper understanding of the many kinds of art in the world and get to know artists that share with students their inspirations and skills that give voice to thoughts and enrich our lives.
"The important thing we must do is make the world beautiful for the children to come."

Some Schedules From Past Camps
While our camp schedule is usually not finalized until just before the camp, these schedules from past camps will give you an idea of what to expect! We can promise that each camp is unique and packed with wonderful artists from the Santa Cruz Tannery community. Each session will feature different artists, meaning that students who sign up for only one session (morning or afternoon) will not complete every project– that’s ok! We end every camp with a special art exhibit for the families of campers.
