What we're about...
Camp Tannery Arts
Connecting students and artists. Camp Tannery Arts is located at the Tannery Arts Center on the banks of the San Lorenzo River in Santa Cruz, California.
Small classes of students work together with experienced artists, to explore a wide variety of hands-on art disciplines that make this spot the creative hub for the Santa Cruz area.
Students take away a deeper understanding of the many kinds of art in the world and get to know artists that share with students their inspirations and skills that give voice to thoughts and enrich our lives.
This year is our 14th year of Camp Tannery Arts! Our camp dates are July 21-24. We will only have one full-day session this year from 10am to 3pm and the price is $375 per student. This camp is for students between the ages of 7 and 15.
*Important note: Camp will only be four days (Monday-Thursday).

Important Camp Info:
Attire
We like to take advantage of the beautiful Santa Cruz summer weather by having as much of our camp outside as possible! However, we will occasionally move indoors for a studio tour or because of inclement weather. Please make sure that your child has plenty of sunscreen and weather/art-appropriate clothing (some of our projects are messy and it can be quite chilly in the mornings!)
Snacks
We usually provide a light, nut-free snack, but students are encouraged to bring their own snacks and water. If your child is staying for both sessions, please make sure that they bring a lunch. Sharing food is not allowed due to the dietary restrictions of some of our campers. If your child has a food allergy, please make note of that on the camp registration form and make sure to notify a camp counselor of any medical equipment the child may need administered in an emergency situation (ie. an epi pen).
We’re A Small Camp!
Camp Tannery Arts is a small camp and we like it that way! Your student will get the unique opportunity to meet and work with a variety of different artists and mediums. We maintain an excellent student-teacher ratio to make sure that your child receives plenty of individual attention and feedback on their projects.
Lost & Found
We are not responsible for any lost or damaged property. We do have a lost and found, but we do not keep any items left by students longer than one week after the end of camp.
Contact
If you have any questions, if your child will be picked up by someone other than yourself, or if you need to get in touch about a lost item, please contact one of the camp administrators:
